Sturm Graz breaking down tents!
After an intensive training week SK Sturm Graz broke down their tents in Bad Waltersdorf on Monday.
The Styrian Bundesliga team of SK Sturm Graz spent eight days in Bad Radkersburg, where the team from Graz relied on IFCS again for their pre-season training camp. The squad was residing in the Falkensteiner spa hotel. Due to the short approach to the training pitches the hotel premises proved to be a great advantage. Actually most players went there on bicycles. Numerous players from last season have left the team. So with Marco Perchtold a new player was tested. Also, quite a few talented youngsters were included in the training operations for their first time. Manager Franco Foda and his assistance staff were not only fascinated by the terrific ambience, as can be seen in the video sequence. Twice a day the team was running and sweating hard in the training units.
During their stay in east Styria the Bundesliga team also played two test matches. On Wednesday there was a draw against the Romanian champion Astra Giurgiu. On Saturday Sturm suffered a narrow defeat against the Hungarian team of Paksi FC. After each of the matches everybody rushed back to the hotel to watch the EURO 2016 matches from France on a large screen together.
