Buchmann pays a visit to VfL Wolfsburg
Styria´s provincial councilor Christian Buchmann pays a visit to VfL Wolfsburg during their one-week training camp - bringing with him a gift.
This year in spring VfL Wolfsburg qualified for the Champions League quarter final, which was definitely one of the greatest achievements in their club history. Right now coach Hecking´s team is preparing for the new season in the East-Styrian Bad Waltersdorf. During their one-week training camp also Styria´s provincial councilor Christian Buchmann paid a visit to the Wolves handing over to them a traditional and popular Styrian cake as a welcome present for guests.
However, not only presents were handed over. There was also time for some animated discussion about the advantages Styria can offer as a venue for pre-season summer training camps. To VfL club manager Klaus Allofs this was more than obvious even before arriving here. After all he can be seen as a satisfied repeat customer who had already been a guest here in Styria with his former team Werder Bremen. While staying in Bad Waltersdorf VfL Wolfsburg also played a top test match against the French team of AS Saint Etienne beating them 1-0 in a fast paced match in Hartberg.
